In Landskrona you’re never far from a bit of golf, and there are many high-quality courses to choose from.
“I can cycle from my apartment to the golf course in ten minutes. There are few cities in Sweden that have such a good golf course so close,” says elite golfer Christian Hovstadius, who is a member of Landskrona Golf Club.
Readers of the magazine Svensk Golf voted Landskrona as Sweden’s best golf city two years in a row. It’s easy to understand why. One of many golf aficionados who have come to love Landskrona is former elite player Christian Hovstadius. While he currently works as a financial analyst in Malmö, he’s chosen to continue living in Landskrona – in part so he can continue to play at his local club.

Patrik Brorsson is the club manager at Landskrona Golf Club and believes that what makes the club attractive to golfers from all over Sweden is that everything is in one place – two lovely 18-hole courses, a cottage village, and restaurants, all situated right by the sea. Golfers come to Landskrona primarily from Sweden’s western coast, Gothenburg, and Stockholm – with plenty of Danes sprinkled into the mix. “Everything we do in our daily work should lead to us achieving the vision of becoming Sweden’s best golf experience. Many factors play a role, such as the quality of the courses, training opportunities, facilities, restaurants, and much more. The guests’ golf experience begins as soon as they park their car, so we really need to work to create a cohesive experience together with the accommodations at Mötesplats Borstahusen and the restaurant Kvarteret Erikstorp.”

Landskrona Golf Club is also home to the Swedish Golf Museum, the only one of its kind in Sweden. Here you can learn more about the history of Swedish golf and the major events and personalities in the sport. There are touch screens and 360-degree experiences so guests can experience some of the most iconic moments in golf. Additionally, you can see the Golf Hall of Fame, where famous names like Lotta Neumann, Annika Sörenstam, and Henrik Stenson have been inducted.
Unique Experience
If you are in Landskrona for several days, take the opportunity to make a detour to the island of Ven and Saint Ibb’s Golf Club. Here you’ll find a nine-hole park and seaside course where the sea is just a stone’s throw away in some places. The fairways are lined with fruit trees, providing a beautiful setting but also an extra challenge for the player.

Landskrona Golf Club At Landskrona Golf Club, you get to play with a breathtaking view of the northern part of the Öresund strait, with Ven and Denmark on the horizon. Saint Ibb’s Golf Club on Ven A park and seaside course with nine holes. The narrow fairway is lined in spring with blooming cherry and apple trees and in autumn with ripe fruit. Öresund’s Golf Club Öresund’s Golf Club is located in Häljarp, south of Landskrona. Here you’ll find greens and fairways of excellent quality along the Öresund coastline with the skyline of Landskrona, Malmö, and Copenhagen on the horizon. The character of the course makes it equally exciting for beginners and seasoned players. The 18-hole course was ready for play in 2005 and was soon ranked among the best in Sweden. It’s a modern, tricky course with a lot of water and fantastic green areas built according to the strict USGA standards. At Öresund’s Golf Club, there is also the restaurant Clubhouse.
